Keith Ray Brautigam

Keith Ray “Smiley” Brautigam, age 60, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 4:25 A.M. Monday, July 31, 2017 at his home. He was born in Sidney, Ohio May 25, 1957, to the late Wayne Brautigam and the late Phyllis (Hageman) Lachey.

On June 5, 1999, Keith married the former Cheryl Heminger in Bellefontaine and she survives, along with two daughters, Gina Ludwig of Jackson Center, Ohio and Kelly Brautigam of Sidney; a step-daughter, Lori (Brian) Neill of Bellefontaine; a step-son, Dusty (Angie) Hammond of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandchildren, Maryn Ludwig, Caitlyn Neill, Camryn Neill, Mia Grau, and Avery Grau; two sisters, Barb (Ken) Chorba of Findlay, Ohio and Karen (Steve) Ott of Botkins, Ohio; two brothers, David (Sandy) Brautigam of Anna, and Paul (Cyndi) Brautigam of St. Marys, Ohio and his wonderful dog Ali, who he adored.

Keith was a truck driver for Spartan/Nash Finch, retiring after thirty eight years of service. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed watersports, camping, gardening, and caring for his lawn.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Pastor Melodi Hagen will officiate a graveside service at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 4, 2017  at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
