Kenneth Richard “Dick” Chamberlain, Sr. 72, of DeGraff passed away Friday evening, July 1, 2016 at Riverside Healthcare Center, Dayton. He was born in Logan County on February 21, 1944 to the late Clifford and Laura (LeVan) Chamberlain. Dick was also preceded in death by a daughter Leslie Jean Chamberlain in 1992, and siblings Betty Kuntz, Milo Chamberlain, Ruth Boggs and Polly Boggs.
Dick retired from Siemen’s after 30+ years of work. He enjoyed horses, hunting and woodworking. Dick was a jack-of-all-trades and had mastered quite a few of them over the years.
Dick is survived by his wife, Edna (Hill) Chamberlain whom he married on June 19, 1964 in Logan County; sons: Kenneth R. Chamberlain, Jr. of Bellefontaine, Jeffrey Ryan (Shannon) Chamberlain of Huntsville and Brad Allen (Jodi) Chamberlain of DeGraff and granddaughter Danielle Kreglow whom they raised after Leslie’s death. He is also survived by grandchildren: Andrew Chamberlain, Cameron Chamberlain, Layne Chamberlain and Kaleigh Chamberlain; five great-grandchildren: Syler, Karli, LillyAnne, Aurora and Jackson; siblings: Donald (Joyce) Chamberlain of DeGraff, Jim (Carolyn) Chamberlain of DeGraff, Rita Rowe of Rushsylvania, Kay (Dean) Fuhrer of Beverly and Cathy (Jeff) Clark of Bellefontaine; brothers-in-law Vernon Boggs of Wapakoneta and Ivan Boggs of Bellefontaine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine from 5-7pm. Private family burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery at a later date.
