Kenneth L. Koger, age 91, of rural Wapakoneta, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Alpine, Tennessee August 16, 1926, the son of the late Joe and Nova (Garrett) Koger. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Kenneth Koger in 1960, three brothers and two sisters.
On February 8, 1952 in Lakeview, Ohio, he married Wavelene G. (Klopfenstein) Koger and she survives in Wapakoneta.
He is also survived by a daughter, June Walker and domestic partner, Ken Rosendale of Aurora, Colorado and a son, Todd W. (Mark Hurtt) Koger of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Tony Laremore of Aurora, Colorado and Onni (Kurt) Heberlein of Bailey, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII. He worked as a farmer and also worked at Roettger Hardwood, a cabinet maker for Airstream Incorporated. He was a member of the Kettlersville Immanuel United Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, and playing Euchre.
Pastor Ed Rinehart will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center, Ohio. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the New Loramie Valley Cemetery in Botkins, Ohio with military honors.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
