Kenneth M. ‘Jock’ Yoder, age 73, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 25, 2014.
He was born May 31, 1941, the son of the late Maurice C. Yoder and Marguerite (Ashcraft) Yoder, who survives in West Liberty, Ohio.
He is also survived by his wife, Joyce Ann (Minnich) Yoder of Bellefontaine, whom he married November 24, 1972; two sons, Justin Wade (Alison Fournier) of Columbus, Ohio and Scott (Sherrey) Makemson of Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter, Amy Sue Jared of Placentia, California; three grandchildren, Anna, Olivia, and Zachary Makemson all of Charlotte; one brother, Gregory (Maureen) Yoder of Bellefontaine as well as several nieces and nephews.
During his career, Jock was the former owner of the Logan Sports Center and the Buckeye Court Club. The majority of his years were spent as a national sales representative in the plastics industry.
He proudly served in the United States Army as a military policeman while stationed in Korea. Jock spent countless years coaching baseball and was an avid sports fan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine officiated by Gene Marine.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
