Kristie R. Mitchell

Kristie R. Mitchell, age 50, of Rushsylvania, passed away after a long battle with cancer at 10:33 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Kenton, Ohio on November 8, 1973, to the late Robert Smith and Candace (Chamberlain) Britton, who survives. 

On May 24, 1997, she married Perry O. Mitchell, and he survives.

She is also survived by her son, Adam (MaKayla) Roby; daughters, Elizabeth Mitchell, Frances Mitchell, and Donna (Tim) Johnson; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Robin Goff, and Rhonda Smith; brother, Jay Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Melissa Beck. 

Along with her father, Kristie was also preceded in death by her son, Perry Joseph “Joe” Mitchell, and her step-father, Jerry Britton.

Kristie was a caretaker and was all about her family and children. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bird watching, and dining out. Kristie was a simple person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Pastor John Watkins will officiate a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Rushsylvania Cemetery. A visitation will be Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center.
