Kurt Krieger

Kurt E. Krieger, 65, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born in Bellefontaine on July 21, 1951 to the late Dr. Robert L. and Patricia L. (Craig) Krieger. On August 13, 1970 he married Mary Krieger and she survives.

He is also survived by his children, Heaven (Joe McFarlin) Krieger, Bill Krieger, and Angie (Jim Williams) Krieger all of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Brittnee (Cale Sterling), Colton (Sam) Cassidy (Michael), James, Veronica, Cody, Gwendalyn, and Michael; brother, Keith (Emily) Krieger; sister, Kay Ropp; sister-in-laws, Sarah (Ron) Williams and Karen (Dan) Brown; several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, that were like his children, Chris Baugh and Tamara Dillion.

A grandson, Austin M. Krieger and mother-in-law, Shirley M. Rieger preceded him in death.

Kurt was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan. He enjoyed being with his wife of 46 years, his children, and all his grandchildren. Kurt has two great grandchildren on the way and he was very excited to become a great grandfather. All who loved him will miss him.

Burial will be at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
