Biography

Laura Jane Conley, 84, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 1:23 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. She was born in Logan County, Ohio on June 4, 1931 to the late Joseph Pruitt and Treasie Eva (Rinehart) Allen.

On February 4, 1951 Laura married Carmel Conley, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Rick Alan and Randy Lynn Conley; a grandson, Steven M. Vance; and three brothers, Ray, Joe and Earl Allen.

Laura is survived by her three daughters, Sharon J. Vance, Jennifer S. Elliott and Elizabeth K. Conley; a son Michael Eugene (Cindy) Conley; nine grandchildren, Trey Conley, Chad Perk, Scott Vance, Alyssa Elliott, Amy LeCrone, Christina Baker, Katie Aspidow, Morgan Conley and Jennifer Williams; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Glendora Allen and Pansy Allen.

Laura worked many years for the G.C. Murphy Company in Bellefontaine. She was also a Past Deacon at the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine, where she had been a member for nearly 73 years.

Rev. Rob Fulton will officiate a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
