Laura Agnes Marker, 88, of Ft. Jennings, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord.
She was born October 20, 1924, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Clarence and Agnes Lucile (Grant) Stevens.
On September 19, 1944, she married Junior D. Marker in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death June 13, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Wesley Stevens, Omar Ray Stevens and Harold Eugene Stevens.
Surviving are her children, Betsy (Don) Wigger of Englewood, Ohio, Dale (Cheryl) Marker of South Fort Myers, Florida, and Shirley (Bob) Predmore of Ft. Jennings, Ohio; nine grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a sister, Ida Belle Hoffman of Lewistown, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Sheeley of Bellefontaine; brother-in-law, Charles Marker of Celina, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Laura was a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Rushmore, Ohio and a lifetime member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #1080 in Bellefontaine. She enjoyed Search-A-Word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and reading.
Pastor Robert Morrison will officiate a 2:00 P.M. memorial service Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. A private family interment will be at the Harper Cemetery in Harper, Ohio.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
