Biography

LaVerne Buroker, age 77, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at her grandson’s home Sunday, August 28, 2011. She was born to Johnnie and Dora Shepard Patrick May 9, 1934 in Magoffin County, Kentucky.

Survivors include a daughter, Rita Blair of Apache Junction, Arizona; two brothers, Robert (Norma) Blair of Richmond, Kentucky and Ray (Alene) Blair of Gypsy, Kentucky; three sisters, Phyllis Marshall of Salyersville, Kentucky, Joy (Hubert) Mullins of Walton, Kentucky and Joan (Dave) Bailey of Walton, Kentucky; two grandsons, Michael James Blair and Jason Dallas (Pam) Blair and four great grandchildren, Quila Marie Blair, Alexandra Michelle Blair, Lilly Blair, and Riley Blair.

She had worked for Westinghouse, Holiday Inn, and Wendy’s in Bellefontaine and at Grimes Manufacturing in Urbana, Ohio.

Her wishes were that her body be donated to science.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011, from 6 to 7 P.M., with a memorial service to begin at 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
