Leona Maxine Crum, 82, of Bellefontaine passed away at 3:06 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. She was born in Franklin County, Ohio on September 28, 1932 to the late Maxwell and Anna Mary (Kruse) Eichner.
Maxine is survived by her four children; Therese (Mike) Tumas of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, Paul Crum and Robert Crum, both of Bellefontaine, and Don (Jessica) Crum of Rushsylvania; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Rollins of Cincinnati, Ruth (Delmar) Marble of Columbus, Dorothy (Cliff) Weate of Columbus and Jeanne (Albert) Kessler of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Betty Bandy and a brother Paul Eichner.
A homemaker, Maxine enjoyed reading, dancing, cooking and, in her younger years, roller skating. She especially loved spending time with all her grandchildren.
Deacon Harold Dipple will officiate a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio.
