Leonard Brown Jr

Leonard W. Brown, Jr., 75, of Bellefontaine passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Bellefontaine on April 28, 1941, the son of the late Leonard W. and Betty Jane (Mabra) Brown, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Minnietta (Rockhold) Brown, a daughter, Sara Vickers, and three sisters; Connie Whetsel, Judy Scott, and Berdetta Johnson.

He is survived by a daughter, Vanessa (Nate) Vickers of Piqua, four sons; Todd Austin of Delaware, Greg (Deb) Vickers of Bellefontaine, Alan (Lorie) Austin of Raymond, and Stuart (Angie) Vickers of Bellefontaine, two sisters; Jacqueline Jackson and Deborah Brown, both of Bellefontaine, a brother, Greg (Liz) Brown of Bellefontaine and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Leonard was retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation, where he drove truck. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed following the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Per Leonard’s request, there will be a private family graveside service held later this year. No public services are planned.

Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
