Leonard G. "Pete" Clark, born on April 12, 1953, in Dutch Hollar, West Virginia to Glen and Elizabeth Clark. Pete passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bellefontaine on April 3, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Bonnie Vernon, Jimmy Clark, and an infant brother.
Pete is survived by his companion of 23 years, Donna Welty; his children, Charles (Terri) Clark, Timothy Clark, Kimberly Woods, Mandy (Dan) Bensman, Jason (Tina) Patterson, Nathan Patterson and Stephanie Driscol; grandchildren, Blaze (Amber) Clark, Heather Kaelin, Kaylee Clark, Katie Clark, Tiffany (Tyler) Thomas, Tabbitha Clark, Serrena (Lane) Shepherd, Meggan O’Brien, Adriana O’Brien, Alexus O’Brien, Liliana Woods, Sierra (Stephen) Hill, JD Bensman, Robert Patterson, Dakota Patterson, Allen Patterson, Jason Patterson Jr., Nathan Patterson Jr., Derrick Driscol, Dustin Driscol and Devan Driscol; many great grandkids; siblings, Barbara Ward, Robert Harris, Samuel (Karen) Clark, Glen (Karen) Clark Jr., and many special nieces and nephews.
Pete enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing cards, picking on his grandkids and great grandkids, nieces, and nephews by telling them DQ gave free puppies when they were closed. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass while enjoying a nice cold Bud Light at “Despbro’s” with his honorary nieces and nephews. So, when you see a friend give them a “Hello Wall” for “Uncle Pete.”
A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery. A gathering at Desporado’s will take place after the burial for family and friends to have a “cold one” to honor “Uncle Pete.”
