Leora Jean Yoder, age 77, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her home.
She was born May 23, 1937, in Stark County, Ohio to the late John L. and Malinda (Slabaugh) Miller.
On May 6, 1965, she was united in marriage to Alvin W. Yoder and he preceded her in death August 14, 2013. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sarah Miller and sister, Delilah Yoder.
She is survived by her five children, Ruby (Jacob) Eicher of Belvidere, Tennessee, Nancy (Marvin) Helmuth of Rushsylvania, Owen (Doretta) Yoder of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Edwin (Gloria) Yoder of Weatherby, Missouri, and Eldon (Emily) Yoder of Rushsylvania; one sister, Lydiann (Henry) Sommers of Unionville, Missouri; one brother, Dennis Miller of Rushsylvania; twenty grandchildren; and a brother in law, Elmer Z. Yoder of Hartville, Ohio.
Leora was a member of the Belle Center New Order Amish Church.
Calling hours will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Marvin Helmuth residence in Rushsylvania where Bishop David Yoder will officiate the 9:00 A.M. funeral service Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Interment will be at the Belle Center Amish Cemetery.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, Ohio assisted the family with the arrangements.
