Leota “Maude” Henry, 80, of Bellefontaine, Oho, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 31, 1929 in Logan County, Ohio to the late Herman and Mary (Clingerman) LeVan.
On October 13, 1947, she married Donald “Jack” Henry in Rushsylvania, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1991. Also preceding her in death was a brother, John Henry LeVan.
Surviving is a son, Brian J. (Tami) Henry of West Liberty, Ohio; two daughters, Vicki A. (Jon) Hutchins of Bellefontaine, and Dixie J. (Tom) Albrecht of Loveland, Ohio; a sister, Helen Holycross of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren, Andy and Kyle Hutchins, Melissa, Micha and Rebecca Henry; a great grandson, Brock Anthony Millis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At 1947 graduate of East Liberty High School, Maude worked at Westinghouse and CTS. Known to everyone as "Aunt Maude", she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine and the Methodist Women’s Society, and enjoyed working and volunteering at the church. She enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine on Friday, January 29, 2010. Rev. Ed Beale will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in the East Liberty Cemetery, East Liberty, Ohio.
