LeRoy E. Elliott

Devoted husband, Dad, and Grandpa, LeRoy E. Elliott of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed into eternity to be with his Lord and Savior just before midnight October 5, 2018 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. LeRoy was 89 years old, and everything good and wonderful to his family who already feel the loss, and wish they could talk to him once again.

LeRoy was born in Michigan April 4, 1929, a son of the late LeRoy and Kathryn (DeGreen) Elliott, Sr. He was a Korean Conflict Veteran who proudly served with the United States Army Paratroopers. LeRoy was an avid woodworker, leaving each of his family members with his handcrafted treasures. He possessed a gift of being able to fix or make anything and had a successful career and enjoyed a long retirement with his wife, Charlet. LeRoy felt very fortunate that his job allowed him to travel the world. He was heavily involved in the community as a 60-year member Boggs Lodge #292 F&AM in DeGraff, Ohio and as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bellefontaine.

Preceding him in death too soon was his first wife, Glendora Elliott, along with two of his five children, Dr. Michael Elliott and Vincent Elliott. LeRoy is survived by his three children, David (Kimberly) Elliott, John (Diane) Elliott, and Beth (Mark) Hefner; a wonderful wife, step-mom and grandmother Charlet, who has been there to share his life for the past twenty five years and many stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff with a Masonic Service beginning at 8:45 P.M.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
