Leslie H. Geeslin, 86 of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1929 in New Hope, Alabama, a son of the late William and Lola (Burgess) Geeslin. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Geeslin, brother, Gordon Geeslin and grandchild, John David Geeslin.

He married the former Jane Clingerman, whom survives in Rushsylvania and together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Survivors also include a daughter, Jayma (Marty) Burkhammer of Bellefontaine; son, David (Janet) Geeslin of Rushsylvania; grandchildren, Sharyn Herne of Cincinnati, Tracy Geeslin of Columbus and Chris Geeslin of Rushsylvania; brothers, John (Mary) Geeslin of Cuba, Alabama and Truman (Pat) Geeslin of Lexington, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Connie Geeslin of St. Marys, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Leslie was a Professional Land Surveyor with Les Geeslin Surveying from 1975 to 1999 and a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio (PLSO) and had served on the board of Public Affairs in Rushsylvania for two terms. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict era, stationed at Campbell Hill and a member of the Brethren Church, Bellefontaine. He loved to golf, play pool, chess, reading, horseshoes, playing cards and was an avid fisherman.

Pastor Mike Roberts will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 where visitation will be held 2 hours prior at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard.

Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, assisted the family with arrangements.
