Lewis Dale Boggs, 38, of Bellefontaine passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at his residence.
He was born in Bellefontaine on December 18, 1978, the son of Jess Boggs of Bellefontaine and Dora Ana (Erion) Branham of Georgetown, KY.
He is also survived by his wife, Tammy (Judd) Boggs of Bellefontaine, two step-daughters; Shelby Sedgwick of Richwood and Courtney Sedgwick, U.S. Army, stationed in Colorado, one step-son, Tyler Bevington of Bellefontaine, two brothers; Russell (Jennifer) Boggs and Douglas Ray Boggs, both of Bellefontaine, his paternal grandfather, Ivan Boggs of Bellefontaine and maternal grandmother, Clara Emmons of Indiana, three nieces; Whitney, Mercedes, and Kylee, one nephew, Taylor and the family dog, Sarah Jo Boggs.
Lewis was a 1997 graduate of Hi Point Career Center and Bellefontaine High School and had worked as a brick and block mason and for Robinson’s Warehouse. He loved to cook and also enjoyed reading and watching sports.
Pastors Daniel and April Holmes will officiate a funeral service on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Jefferson Township. Following the burial, a meal will be served at the East Liberty Town Hall.
