Lewis Earl “Lewie” Linson, 65, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday morning, October 27, 2015. He was born August 14, 1950 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Chloe Avis Fogle and the late Emil (Whitey) David Linson.
On June 10, 1972, Lewie married the former Bonnie Sue Butler and she survives, along with their three children; Adam (Julie) Linson of Sidney; Matthew Linson and Brittany Linson, both of DeGraff; 3 grandchildren Logan, Calvin & Emma; brothers John (Diana) Linson of Belle Center, Bob Linson of Bellefontaine and Jim Linson of Belle Center; a sister Connie (Mike) Darling of Belle Center; and several nieces and nephews.
Lewie was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Bellefontaine. He worked at Westinghouse for 15 years prior to his employment at Honda of America. While with Honda, Lewis worked at Honda of Marysville for 27 years and Honda of East Liberty for 4 years, where he retired in May of 2014.
Lewie truly enjoyed people, he loved seeing his family and friends and talking to everyone he met. He was a gentle soul who loved the Cleveland Browns and the Andy Griffith Show, but the love of his life, in recent years, has been his three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center, Ohio. Pastor Brad Angus will conduct a funeral service on Saturday, October 31st at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Per Lewie’s wishes, burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
