Lewis F. “Louie” Snyder, 59, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kenton, Ohio February 11, 1951, to the late Charles “Bill” William and Geraldine (Givens) Snyder.
On October 27, 2006 he married Alica Sanford in Rushsylvania, and she survives along with sons, Lewis E. Snyder of Rushsylvania and Jason A. Snyder of Tennessee and Alexander S. and Richard M. Pieper of Rushsylvania; daughters, Tracy (Jason) Gentis of Lakeview, Ohio, and Allegra R. Sanford of Rushsylvania; a brother, James C. “Jim” Snyder of Rushsylvania; sisters, Connie (Gary) Rush of Kenton, Vickey (Ed) Miller of Ada, Ohio, Sharon (Zarrel) Cummins of Chillicothe, Ohio, Kimberly (Roger) Leugers of Belle Center, Ohio, and Joann (John) Shroyer of Bellefontaine, Ohio; mother-in-law, Lou Ann Sanford of Belle Center; sister-in-law; Betsy (Dave) Jones of Vandalia, Ohio; brother-in-law, Brett (Cindy) Sanford of Rushsylvania; grandchildren, Dale Snyder of Lakeview and Brooke Snyder of Rushsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louie was preceded in death by a brother, William “Buck” Snyder; a sister, Betty I. Snyder; and a nephew, Roger Leugers III.
He retired from Thomas and Marker Construction Co. as a welder. He enjoyed working on cars and visiting with his friends in the garage. He had a love for horses, going to auctions, working on his farm and loved being with his family.
Edward Gibson will conduct the funeral service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where calling hours are from 4 to 7 P.M.
