Linda Osborne, 64, of West Liberty, Ohio, went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by loving friends and family Tuesday, June 25, 2013, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. She handled her battle with strength, grace and fortitude keeping upbeat though it all. She always put those that loved her at ease and her caregivers a sense of joy and appreciation.

She was born May 5th, 1949, in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Wayne and Norma (Logsdon) Osborne. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie (Cain) Logsdon.

She is survived by her sister, Janet (Tony) Hotsko of Greenville, Texas; a niece, Lisa Hotsko; a great niece Breanna Stewart; a great nephew, Ethan Stewart; her step mother, Etta Osborne of Baton Rouge, Louisana; two step sisters, Linda Kadair of Baton Rouge, and Donna (Tony) Smith of Springfield, Ohio, and a step brother, James (Kim) Overman of Denham Springs, Louisana.

She is also survived by her “Peeps”: her soul mate best friend, Anna Clem; special friends and family, Linda Parr; Nancy Lemaster; Mary “Boo” Beach; Betty “Shorty” Bockoven; Janet Britton; Anna May Groves; Corina and Lonnie Fain; Tom and Sherry Glover; Dave and Karen Speas; Marilyn Heacock; Carol Tobin; Donna and Tony Smith and family; Ken and Lisa Clem and family; Dona Faber and son; Sara Gamble and family; Mike and Anita Clem and sons; Joe and Deb Clem and family; the Kettering Medical staff on 2 North; Hospice of Dayton and all the wonderful people at Universal Home Health & Hospice in Bellefontaine.

Linda graduated from Catholic Central High School in Springfield, Ohio in 1967, and Cedarville College in 1974. Linda worked for Trimble Navigations in Huber Heights, Ohio for twenty eight years. She played on the Kar Gard Softball Team that won the state of Ohio tournament and went to the national tournament. She played third base and was known as “Pokey” by all who played with her. Linda was inducted into the Dayton Softball Hall of Fame. She was an avid bowler in the Dayton area and loved gardening. She will be remembered for her kind and unselfish acts and was always known as a hard worker. She had a large collection of M&M characters and dispensers.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Urbana Swedenborgian Church in Urbana, Ohio officiated by Pastor Betsy Coffman. Calling hours are Sunday, June 30, 2013, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.

Her family asks that you dress as you want. Feel free to come casual and comfortable for the visitation and memorial service.
