Linda L. Peters, 75, of West Liberty, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
She was born on March 2, 1940 in Urbana to the late Harry and Irene (Kelly) Prater.
On April 15, 1967 she married Merlyn E. ‘Earl’ Peters and he survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Darla Summerlin of Tennessee; three sons, James David Prater of West Liberty, Ray Allen Peters of Belle Center and Richard E. Peters of Lakeland, FL; three grandchildren, Adam Prater of Zanesfield, Alexia (Kaley) Prater of Ontario, OH and Alivia Prater of Riverside, AL; seven step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosella (Jim) Shaw of Urbana and Elizabeth (Pat) DeMoss of Tennessee.
A homemaker and a 1958 graduate of West Liberty High School, Linda was a U.S. Army veteran. Her and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles together and was a member of the Scioto Valley Motorcycle Club. She also enjoyed ceramics. For the last 14 years, they would go to Avon Park, Florida for the winters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, West Liberty on Monday, June 1, 2015 where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate an 11:00 am funeral service on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Burial will be in the Zanesfield Cemetery.
