Linda D. Thompson

Linda Diane Thompson, 75, of Huntsville, passed away Monday morning, April 3, 2023, at Lima Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Linda was born in Anderson, Indiana, on August 28, 1947, to the late Edward A. and Betty S. (Sweat) Anderson. 

Linda married Fred Thompson on May 10, 1969, and he survives in Huntsville.  She is also survived by a son Phillip B. Thompson of Texas; daughters: Beth (Jim) Butler of Jackson Center, and Jodi Thompson of Noblesville, Indiana; 9 grandchildren:  Nikki Thompson, Tasha (Barron) Thompson, Caleb Thompson, Tiffany (Mark) Harris, Phillip Thompson, Addie Thompson, Faith Butler, Andrew “AJ” Butler, and Cole Butler;  several great-grandchildren; a brother Charlie (Carol) Anderson of Anderson, Indiana; sisters: Birtie Crist of Ingalls, Indiana, and Mary Jean (Kenny) Hurst of New Palestine, Indiana; many nieces and nephews; and a very good friend, Alice Baier of Florida.         

Linda was a member of Belle Center United Presbyterian Church.  She had worked as a seamstress for GEM Sportswear for many years and worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.  Linda loved her grandchildren and enjoyed supporting them and attending their activities.  She and Fred enjoyed traveling, and loved going to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Pastor Ted Dennis will officiate Linda’s Celebration of Life service on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 3pm at the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, 202 Walnut St. Belle Center, Ohio, where a visitation will be held from 2pm-3pm prior to the service.
