Lois Crawford

Biography

Lois F. Crawford, age 97, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

She was born June 27, 1917 in Wood County Ohio, to the late Samuel and Minnie (Keller) Hunsicker.

On November 25, 1942, she married John George Crawford in Kenton, Ohio and he preceded her in death March 6, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Harvey and Paul Hunsicker, Mary Rodenberger, Pearl Fry and Betty Jane Ludwig.

Surviving are three daughters, Gloria (Cletus) Stewart of Tiffin, Ohio, Diane (Randy) Scott of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Jackie (Mel) Walton of Belle Center; six grandchildren, Renee Price, Kelli Owens, Chad Walton, Amy Hill, Erin Jankowski and Jill Cronkleton; thirteen great grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, Regan, John, Molly, Zoe, Abe, Ben, Jenna, Lynzee, Kyndal, Stella and Jack; a brother-in-law, Donald Crawford of Belle Center, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois and her husband owned and operated the Dairy Isle for twenty eight years and the Department Store, both in Belle Center. She was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Society.

Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate the 1:00 P.M. funeral service Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, where friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
