Lois Duncan

Lois Duncan, 68, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at her residence.

She was born in Bellefontaine on September 15, 1948 to the late Durward and Peggy (Ricketts) Durnell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Duncan, whom she married on February 20, 1969 in Akron, Ohio; son, John Robert “JR” Duncan; sister, Rita Scherer; and brother, D. Michael Durnell.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Melissa (David) Warneke; granddaughter, Madison Duncan; sisters, Tina Durnell and Nancy (Tom) Pagnard; and brothers, Lanny (Linda) Durnell and John Durnell and many nieces and nephews

She attended Calvary Baptist Church, and before retiring was employed at Mary Rutan Hospital and Westinghouse Corp. Lois enjoyed trips to her daughters’ home in Chicago for shopping and musicals. She loved to sing and make people laugh.

Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where visitation will be two hours before service time.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.
