Biography

Loris Lee Henry, 79, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born in Auglaize County Ohio June 6, 1933, to the late Robert and Mary (Helmlinger) Prieser. She was also preceded in death by a sister Arlene Vergara and a granddaughter.

Loris married Edison R. Henry April 4, 1953 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and he survives in Belle Center. She is also survived by her children, Theodore (Ruth) Henry of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Mary (Rick) Ransbottom of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Judy (William) Harshbarger of Wapakoneta, LCDR Edison L. (Cheri) Henry of San Diego, California, Joseph “Joey” (Melody) Henry of Urbana, Ohio and Amy Henry of Belle Center; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Col. Dale (Barbara) Prieser of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Miriam (John) Phillips of Wapakoneta, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Loris was a homemaker and member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church where she served as a delegate to the annual conference for twelve years. With her husband Ed, they were original members of the BMRT and she was a former Cub Scout leader.

Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 2 to 8 P.M. The service will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Belle Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
