LouAnne Devore, age 65, of Middleburg, Ohio, passed away at 2:54 P.M. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Urbana, Ohio December 3, 1945, to the late Hobert H. and Clara Lou Cole Harmon. Three brothers, Burl, Roy, and Troy Harmon and three sisters, Sarah Jean Blair, Walledith and Rosella Harmon also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Devore, whom she married July 30, 1966. Also surviving are two sons, Rob Devore of Streetsboro, Ohio and Jerry Harmon of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a daughter, Jean Devore of Zanesfield, Ohio; a brother, Ben Harmon of West Liberty, Ohio; a sister Mary Jane (Roy) Allen of Corbin, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Dustin Harmon and Alex Devore; two great grandchildren and two special friends, Omar Elhaj of Streetsboro and Camilla Aukerman of Zanesfield.
She was a member of the Hi-Point Church of Christ in Bellefontaine and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She attended Bellefontaine High School and worked for The Bakery on North Main Street in Bellefontaine, and later worked out of her house selling baked goods, where she was well known for her famous pies. She had also worked for Montgomery Ward in Bellefontaine and Harding Machine in East Liberty, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty with Pastor Mike Sandlin officiating. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 15,2011 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg, Ohio.
