Lowell Eugene “Gene-o” Line, 78, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was born in Logan County, Ohio February 22, 1934, to the late Lowell Jesse and Mildred Almeda Staley Line.
He is survived by his former wife, Roxie Line and their children; Gina (Rob) Fill of Hilliard, Ohio, Marcy (Brad) Ward of Columbus, Ohio, Larry Line of Tucson, Arizona, Lance (Jennifer) Line of Bellefontaine and Kimberly Ogelsbee of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, Kayla Line, Billy Ogelsbee, Levi Ogelsbee and Rylee Ogelsbee; two sisters, Liz (Harold) Cavinder of Sidney, Ohio and Leila (Clint) Morris of Urbana, Ohio; a brother, Larry (Dianne) Line of Russells Point, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. A sister, Linda Blaine preceded him in death.
A United States Air Force Veteran, "Gene-o" retired from Airstream after thirty eight years of service. He was a member of the American Legion in Sidney, Ohio and served as Commander of the Jackson Center VFW in 1975-76 and 1984-85.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Smith-Eichholtz Funeral Home in Jackson Center, Ohio. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire, Ohio with military rites by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
In celebration of "Gene-o" 's life, family and friends are invited to the Route 47 Bar & Grill in Port Jefferson, Ohio following the committal service at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to any Veteran's organization.
