Lura Mae Grandstaff

Lura Mae (Miller) Grandstaff, 96, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away at 9:40 A.M. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine April 30, 1920, to the late William Arthur and Martha Alice (Gross) Miller.

On June 29, 1941, Lura married her husband of seventy five years, James Richard Grandstaff in DeGraff, and he preceded her in death December 26, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Emma Kauffman; eight brothers, Raymond, Gailen, Louis, Willis, Kenneth, Luther, Richard, and Donald Miller.

Lura is survived by her two children Lucinda Holycross of DeGraff and Ronald (Becky) Grandstaff of Huntsville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Douglas (Jenni) Grandstaff, Matthew (Lori) Grandstaff, Shawn (Jaime) Holycross, and Ryan (Stacey) Holycross and nine great grandchildren.

A homemaker and lifetime farmer’s wife, Lura was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church since 1939. She was also a member of Constance Chapter #78 O.E.S. and Bellefontaine Chapter #459 O.E.S.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
