Mabel Bence

Mabel Dunasky Bence, 100, of West Liberty, Ohio, went to be with the Lord at 9:00 P.M. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty.

She was born in Hungary October 14, 1911, a daughter of the late John and Margit (Budovsky) Kovach.

On February 10, 1934, she married Henry Dunasky and he preceded her in death May 9, 1981. Her second husband, Joseph Bence, also preceded her in death in 1995. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Ethel Takacs, a brother, John Kovach, and a great grandson, Benjamin Modie.

Surviving is a daughter, Norma Larkman of West Liberty; a son, Henry (Karen) Dunasky of Bainbridge, Ohio; a sister, Margaret Hyatt of Solon, Ohio; a brother, Joseph Kovach of Fairview Park, Ohio; grandchildren, Lawrence Trefney of Broadview Hts., Ohio, Bonita (Bill) Fraim of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Rebecca Rainwater of Oldsmar, Florida, Karen Larkman of Richfield, Ohio, Bill Larkman of West Liberty, Jim Larkman of Peninsula, Ohio, Mitchel (Donna) Dunasky of Batavia, Illinois and Michael Dunasky of Copley, Ohio; seven great grandchildren, Kenneth (Karen) Schindler, Michelle Trefney, Holly Bing, Lindsey Rainwater, Michael Rainwater and Samantha Larkman; two great-great grandsons, Dylan Schindler and Evan Modie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a farmer, homemaker, owned her own restaurant and also worked for the Richfield School System as a nutritionist. Mabel enjoyed gardening, reading and her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Bainbridge Community Church 17751 Chillicothe in Bainbridge, Ohio with Pastor Shaun Drefahl officiating. Interment will follow at the Restland Cemetery in Bainbridge, Ohio.

Arrangements were handled by the staff of the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, Ohio.
