Madeline "Petie" Troyer, 89, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 10:47 A.M. at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born December 12, 1922, the daughter of the late Arch and Barbara (Headings) Plank.

On November, 26, 1946, she married Samuel “Earl” Troyer at the Oak Grove Mennonite Church in West Liberty, and he preceded her in death June 28, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Yoder.

Madeline is survived by her son, Stephen (Paula) Troyer of Huntsville, Ohio; two daughters, Anita (Gary) Robison of DeGraff, Ohio and Lori (Brad) Cramer of Minneapolis, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Brenda Lackey, Casey (Sharon Hubble) Barney, Amber Parker, Jordann (Kyle) Aler, Jared Troyer, Drew and Devin Davisson, and Kate Cramer; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a long time member of the Oak Grove Mennonite Church in West Liberty, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially tending to her flower beds and gardens. She loved spending time with her family as well as her dogs.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2012, at 12 noon at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty with Pastor Eddie Freshour officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Salem Township, officiated by Dick Barrett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Mennonite Church; the Logan Acres Activity Fund, or to the West Liberty Rescue Squad.

The staff of the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty assisted the family with the arrangements.
