Margaret Gardner

Margaret Gardner, 89, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 8:29 A.M. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

She was born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio June 22, 1923, to the late William and Amanda (Karch) Barth. On March 13, 1943, she married Harold K. Gardner in Upper Sandusky, and he survives.

She is also survived by a daughter Barbara (Mike) Bartfield of West Chester, Ohio; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Reva Zender of Sycamore, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. A son Michael Allen Gardner, three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

A homemaker, Margaret loved flowers, feeding the birds and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. at the Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky with Pastor Jonathan Bull officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
