Margaret Howell

Margaret C. Howell, 84, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 9, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 17, 1926, the daughter of the late James D. and Isabella W. (Pollock) Brown. On June 1, 1949, she married Rev. Jesse Howell, and he preceded her in death July 14, 2001.

Margaret was a 1948 graduate of the Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina and continued with her graduate studies at Case Western University in Cleveland. She taught high school English and reading at Bellefontaine High School for eighteen years. She was a member of the Hope Community Church in Bellefontaine.

She is survived by two daughters; Gail (Stephen) Ellis of Wixom, Michigan and Deb (Jon) Lundy of Tok, Alaska; one son, Scott (Melissa) Howell of McCalla, Alabama; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday September 13, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with Pastor Keith Akins officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 2 to 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
