Margaret Jones

Margaret Louise Jones, 94, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Otterbein North Shore Life Style Community in Lakeside, Ohio.

She was born November 22, 1918, in Bellefontaine to the late Chester and Gertrude (Rotroff) Cooper.

On June 23, 1940, she married Joe Edward Jones in Amherst, Ohio and he preceded her in death February 20, 1994. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Richard and Ralph Cooper and five sisters, Ruth Tanger, Juanita Detrick, Jane Stevenson, Carolyn Neer and Shirley Yoder.

Margaret is survived by her children, Bill (Myra) Jones of Port Clinton, Ohio, Gary (Judy) Jones of Little Orange Lake, Florida and Linda Doll of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kent, Kevin, Brad and Debbie, and seven great grandchildren.

Margaret taught Sunday school at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine where she attended. She also assisted her husband as Treasurer for the Bellefontaine City Schools.

Pastor Ron Irick will officiate the 1:00 P.M. funeral service Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.prior to the service. Interment will be at the Zanesfield Cemetery in Zanesfield, Ohio.
