Margaret Raye Shields, 52, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at her residence Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
She was born February 13, 1961, in Bellefontaine to Ronald “Jack” and Donna (Nelson) Robinson, who survive in Bellefontaine.
On August 22, 1981, she married Robert Gene Shields in Rushsylvania, Ohio and he survives along with their children, Megan (Bryan) Ropp of Xenia, Ohio and Caleb Shields and his fiancé, Ellina Dovgopolaya, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; her sisters, Chris (Damon) Keller-Cockrel of Delaware, Ohio, Ronda (Ernie) Pitchford of Ft. Worth, Texas and Carol (Ron) Goings of West Liberty, Ohio; two grandchildren, Calynn Renee and Kaden Matthew Ropp, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Alltop.
A 1979 Benjamin Logan High School graduate, Margaret worked at the Logan County Juvenile Court and was the Deputy Clerk at the Logan County Title Office. She was a member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ where she served as the church secretary for fourteen years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, crafts, reading and quilting.
The Pastor Lynn Cleaveland will officiate the 10:30 A.M. memorial service Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Rushsylvania Church of Christ in Rushsylvania where calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2013. Interment will be at the Harper Cemetery in Harper, Ohio following the service.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
