Emblem

Margarita M. Shell a beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2 2024, at The James Cancer Center. Born on August 3, 1974, in Sábalo, Punteraneas Province, Costa Rica, Margarita’s journey was one filled with love, dedication, resilience, and an ever-present sense of humor. She dedicated her life to raising and nurturing her three beloved sons, Jose, Jacob, and Dakota, while embracing the joys and challenges of being a stay-at-home mom. Her heart swelled with pride as she witnessed each milestone, most notably the moment when her sons graduated, an achievement that reflected her unwavering commitment to their growth and success. As a devout Christian, she often made contributions to her local churches and brightened the faith in other people, instilling these values in her sons. She also made a profound impact working and volunteering for the Bellefontaine City Schools, where her nurturing spirit shone brightly.

Margarita was a warm, caring soul. Her infectious sense of humor had the remarkable ability to light up any room, drawing others closer with her vivacious spirit. She brought joy and laughter to those fortunate enough to know her, leaving them feeling cherished and understood. Her passion for life was evident in her many hobbies—fishing in Canada, nurturing her garden, and tending to the vibrant flowers and plants around her home. The beauty she cultivated in nature mirrored the beauty she infused into the lives of her family and friends.

These passions brought her immense joy, as did watching her sons play soccer, a sport that united family and friends alike. There was nothing that delighted Margarita more than watching them; her cheers were a testament to her unwavering belief in their potential, and she reveled in every moment. This dynamic sense of dedication and pride in motherhood stands as one of her proudest accomplishments—a mother who poured every ounce of her love into fostering the growth of her boys.

She was surrounded in life by her loving family, including her devoted husband, Elden Shell, her enduring mother, Luz Marina Mora Serrano, and her siblings: Hilda Ramirez Mora and her husband Henry, Lilian Ramirez Mora, Graciela Ramirez Mora and her husband Oscar, and Luisa Mora Serrano and her husband Geovanny. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers Eulalio Ramirez Mora and Henry Mora Serrano, along with her brother-in-law Noel Shell and his partner Michelle, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry her memory forever in their hearts. Margarita is preceded in death by her father, Victor Manuel Ramirez Miranda.

As we remember Margarita M. Shell, we celebrate the life she lived, rich in love, dedication, and heartfelt connections. Margarita M. Shell will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends, forever a reminder of the beautiful gift that is life. She is in a better place now and has fulfilled her lifelong dream of meeting our savior Jesus Christ, where she smiles down on us until we meet again.

There will be a celebration of life service held at The Blessing Barn 4405 Spence Rd., Springfield, OH 45502 on September 28th from 3:30 until 6:30pm.
