Maria C. Johnson

Maria C. Johnson, 65, of DeGraff, passed away peacefully at 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her home. She was born in Lancaster, Ohio on September 18, 1958, a daughter of the late Dale Richard Moore and Thelma Isabelle (Sigler) Moore.

On October 26, 1976, Maria married Kenneth “Kenny” Albert Johnson Sr. in Columbus, Ohio and he survives, along with their four children, Kenny (Penny) Johnson Jr., Melinda ("Scooby" Dason) Johnson, Daniel (April) Johnson, and Mark (Angie) Johnson; five grandchildren, Dakota Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Lilly Johnson, Gabby Johnson, and Abby Johnson; a brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Moore Sr.; a half-sister, Hosanna (Travis) Burnem; two half-brothers, Dale (Saijo) Moore Jr., and Richard (Sandra) Moore;  and nine nieces and nephews, Lisa Marie Skaggs, Susan Maria (Robert) Trimble, Jimmy Moore Jr., Crystal Lynn (Alan) McCartney, Gabriel Moore, Grace Moore, Christian Moore, Malachi Moore, and Tori Moore.

Maria had worked at Honda of American in East Liberty and alongside her husband Kenny on numerous jobs. She most enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, May 24, 2024. Further service details can be obtained by contacting a member of the family.
