Marie Hawley

Marie G. Hawley, 84, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born February 25, 1926 in Ada, Ohio, to the late Walter and Mable Ruth (Klingler) Long.

On July 3, 1946 she married Robert Hawley in Erlanger, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death November 28, 2005. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Raymond Long, grandson, Christopher Merritt and a great grandson, Maurice Jones.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda (Larry) Merritt of Alger, Ohio, and Deborah (Robert) Crowe of Belle Center; a sister, Catherine Hughes of Ada, Ohio; grandchildren, Guy Merritt, Lisa Ashafa, Bill and Robert Slay and ten great grandchildren.

Marie and her husband owned a dry cleaning business in Findlay. She was a graduate of Ada High school and was a member of the Auglaize United Baptist Church in Maysville, Ohio.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center handled the arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
