Marion Earl Deardurff, 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 3:00 A.M. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
He was born in East Liberty, Ohio May 20, 1933, to the late Marion William and Alice Anna (Hurley) Deardurff. He was also preceded in death by an infant son David Deardurff and a brother, John Deardurff.
On July 1, 1956, he married the former Gladys Shroyer and she survives.
He is also survived by his two children, Diana (Terry) Broyles of Huntsville, Ohio and Doug Deardurff of Sidney, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jaclyn (Brett) Ullom of Huntsville, Jason (Stacy) Kidder of Russells Point, Ohio, Caleb (Shelby) Deardurff of North Carolina, Leah Deardurff and Rebekah Deardurff, both of DeGraff, Ohio; a step-grandson, Sebastian Broyles of Ashville, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Kaci Kidder, Hayli Ullom, Kelsi Ullom, Madison Kidder and Skylar Kidder; two step-great grandchildren, Logan and Megan Broyles; two sisters, Marilyn (Paul) Hofmann of Eldridge, Iowa and Carolyn Deardurff of Bellefontaine; a brother, Dale Deardurff of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law, Betty Deardurff of West Liberty, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1951 graduate of Huntsville High School, Earl retired in 1996 from National Extrusion as a truck driver following forty five years of service. He was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping.
Pastor William Zeller will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 17, 2014, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
The funeral arrangements were in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
