Marion Anthony “Tony” Vonderhuevel Jr., age 59, of Quincy, Ohio passed away at 2:20 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2018, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center East Campus in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Sidney, Ohio November 3, 1958, the son of the late Marion Anthony Sr. and Betty Ann (Partington) Vonderhuevel. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Francis Vonderhuevel; an aunt, Phyllis Schindel; two uncles, Charlie and Neal Vonderhuevel; his father in laws, Bud Carman and Bob Woodard; a brother in law, Bud Carman Jr. and a sister in law, Ginger Carman.
On August 1, 1980 he married Sherry Carman in DeGraff and she survives.
He is also survived by a son, Paul Francis (Chrissy Clarkson) Dieringer of Bellefontaine,Ohio; three daughters, Shannon (Carl) Marshall, Shawna (Joe) Dutrow, and Ashley (Kevin) Dunn all of Quincy; sixteen grandchildren, Josie Marshall, Kelsey Marshall, Tylor Eaton, Dezmend Dieringer, David Dieringer, Makayla Dunn, Jordyn Marshall, Cheyenne Clarkson, Gerit Marshall, Sierra Dieringer, Shasta Dunn, Ethan Dieringer, Isabella Dunn, Isabelle Dieringer, Maddisyn Dutrow, and Noah Dieringer; four sisters, Victoria Oliver of Huntsville, Ohio, Linda (John) Baker of Sidney, Jenny Vonderhuevel of DeGraff, Ohio, and Carrie Clark of Florida; three aunts, Irene Vonderhuevel of Sidney, Tina Strasser of Anna, Ohio, Carol Vorhees of Piqua, Ohio; his mother in law, Louise Poore of Sidney; two sisters in law, Betty (Mark) Byrd of Port Jefferson, Ohio and Nancy Carman of Jackson Center, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony was a 1977 graduate of Riverside High School and worked as a dump truck driver. He was an avid auto racing fan, especially NASCAR. He and his wife raised Dobermans for many years and he loved his dogs, T.J., Jake, Harley and his Pug, Piggy. He also loved getting together with his family on the fourth of July and putting on the annual fireworks show each year.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Daring and Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
Pastor Bill Halter will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
