Marjorie Meyer

Marjorie M. Meyer, 91, formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, July 4, 2011 at the Villa of Springfield in Springfield, Ohio. Marjorie was born in Springfield, May 16, 1920. She married John William Gordon August 22, 1936 in Richmond, Indiana, and he preceded her in death January 16, 1966. She later married Col. William S. Meyer April 4, 1970, in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death February 28, 1998.

Marjorie worked for the United Telephone Company and the American Red Cross.

She is survived by her children John P.T. (Lois) Gordon of Morral, Ohio and Jackie (Jimmy) Althouse of Springfield, Ohio; two grandchildren: Terry Morgan of Springfield, and Deborah (Tim) Spangler of Blue Ash, Ohio; three great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Marjorie was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Travis Gordon.

The graveside service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Bellefontaine Cemetery at 2 P.M. with Rev. Richard Bartley officiating.
