Mark Niefer

Mark W. Niefer, 61, of DeGraff, passed away at 11:22 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on July 3, 1954 Shirley I. (Bulman) Niefer-Linet and the late Charles Philip Niefer. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Niefer and step-father, Dean Linet.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Abbey (Sean Maroney) Niefer; grandson, Zaiden Maroney; brother, John (Vicki) Niefer; three step-sisters, Mary Anne Linet, Laura (Dave) Curry and Jennifer (Jeff) Paul; and many nieces and nephews.

Mark enjoyed bicycling and worked as a carpenter foreman for Dayton Walls & Ceilings. He was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church, Carpenters Union, Eagles and VFW.

Pastor Kym James will officiate a funeral service at 12 noon on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the DeGraff United Methodist Church, where visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
