Mark T. Peck, 63, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.
He was born in Bellefontaine January 4, 1950, the son of Tom Peck, who survives of Bellefontaine and the late Ruth A. (Kinnard) Peck. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a niece, Natalie Comer of Bellefontaine.
On February 15, 1986, he married Patti West in Bellefontaine and she survives along with a daughter, Kristina Barnett of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Kathy Comer of Bellefontaine; a brother, Tim Peck of Zanesfield, Ohio; a niece Emily (Kraig) Hoffmann of Cleveland, Ohio, and a nephew, Josh Peck of Urbana, Ohio.
Mark graduated in 1968 from Bellefontaine High School and then later served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for more than thirty years at H.B.D. in Bellefontaine before retiring in 2009 as the General Manager. In his earlier years he enjoyed racquet ball, photography and Indy car races. More recently he enjoyed golf, reading, beach vacations with family and friends, cooking and volunteering at the Logan County Humane Society. He was a Parrothead and enjoyed vacationing with his wife in Key West, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friday, May 17, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine with Rev. Ed Beale officiating. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 P.M. Friday at the church prior to the service. Interment will be at Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine at a later date.
