Marlos John

Biography

Marlos J. John, age 74, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She was born in Bellefontaine May 31, 1940, to the late Stanley and Ilo (Briggs) Shepherd.

Marlos married James L. John November 29, 1959, at the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine and he survives. She is also survived by her children, Jeffrey Shepherd (Daniela) John of Columbus, Ohio, Christopher Paul (Christine) John of Columbus and Timothy Allen (Paula) John of Hilliard, Ohio; three grandchildren, Bernadette John, Alexandria John and Michael John, and a brother, Michael Shepherd of Bellefontaine.

Marlos worked as a medical technologist for various doctors in the area. She also had worked in an insurance office. Most recently, she had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Goble in Bellefontaine.

Marlos was a life-long Lutheran, first baptized at the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine and then was a member of Galilee Lutheran Church in Russells Point, Ohio where she was active in starting the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. In her spare time, Marlos was an avid gardener and enjoyed landscaping.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty assisted the family with the arrangements.
