Martha Martin

Martha “Marty” Martin, 80, of Lakeview passed away on Friday January 27, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky, on July 15, 1936 to the late Thomas and Martha (Stapleton) Sturgill. On July 8, 1952 in Muncie Indiana , she married Walter Martin and he survives.

She is also survived by two sons Robert (Cindy) Martin of Huntsville and Lee (Erin) Martin of Hopewell, Ohio; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Anne Rosell of Madison, Alabama. One sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

She had worked for Reynolds and Reynolds and at the Dorothy Lane Market.

Marty was a member of Woman of the Moose Lodge at Indian Lake. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Deacon Robert Crook will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours before service time. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery
