Martha Metz

Biography

Martha Jean Metz, 81, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:10 A.M. at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

She was born August 5, 1931 in Monroe Township, Logan County Ohio, a daughter of the late Boyd & Louie (Chandler) Bradford. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Betty Carpenter, Helen Wilt, Mary Clark and brothers, Jim, Don, Bud and Boyd Bradford Jr.

On July 8, 1948 in Boone County, Kentucky, she married Arthur C. Metz and he survives along with their children, Sandy (Kim) Titus, Phillip (Rita) Metz and Christine (Brian) Crawford, all of Zanesfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Stacie (Jeff) Coy, Amy (Chad) Stahler both of Zanesfield, Beth (Ryan) Dickson of Lakeview, Ohio, Rori (Josh) Campbell of Cable, Ohio, Brandy Little of Dublin, Ohio, Matt (Jillian Leach) Metz of Zanesfield, Tara (David) King of Gahanna, Ohio, Kristopher (Morgan) Crawford of Worthington, Ohio; eighteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Everhardt, of Dallas, Georgia, Eileen (James) Everhardt of Lafayette, Ohio and a brother, Daryl (Kathy) Bradford of Rushsylvania, Ohio.

She and her husband owned and operated the Dutch Mill in Zanesfield and attended the Goshen Friends Church. She loved her family, the many memories they made through the years and Gaither music. She will be sadly missed by so many.

Pastor Fred Kensler will conduct the funeral service at 10 A.M. Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where calling hours are Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 3 to 5 P.M. Interment will be in the Zanesfield Cemetery.
