Martha Skidmore

Martha E. Skidmore, 93, formerly of Belle Center passed away Monday evening, March 2, 2015 at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.

Martha was born in Belle Center on December 26, 1921 to the late Clarence and Blanche (Webber) Lowery. On February 20, 1946 she married James Kenneth Skidmore in Belle Center and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1993. Martha was also preceded in death by son Clifford Skidmore on July 7, 2013, three brothers Curt Lowery, Vaughn Lowery and Bob Lowery, and three sisters Viola Bullock, Esther Woodruff and Lucille Lowery.

A homemaker, Martha was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being around people and spending time with her grandkids.

Martha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Edwin and Charlotte Skidmore of Dunkirk, daughter-in-law Rita Skidmore of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren: Michael Skidmore, Lisa Skidmore, Eric Wills, Doug Wills and Bobby Gill; five great-grandchildren: Chaise Wills, Danielle Wills, Lydia Wills, Brett Wills and Jamie Gill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate the funeral service on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Belle Center United Methodist Church at 2pm. Visitation will be held at the church two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.

The staff of Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center assisted the family with arrangements.
