Marvin R. Kerr

Marvin R. Kerr, 74, of DeGraff, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on March 2, 1951, a son of the late Richard “Dick” E. Kerr and Shirley (Sprague) Kerr.

Marvin is survived by his son, Jerrod (Elizabeth) Kerr; three grandchildren, Skylar Kerr, Kace Kerr, and Kyson Kerr; five siblings, Cheryl Rayles, Connie (Rick) Shultz, Keith Kerr, Christy Peterson, and Carol (Mark) Pait; stepmother, Carol Kerr; stepsister, Debra Wilson; and stepbrother, Daniel Yoder. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Diane Kerr.

Marvin retired from the former Kerr Electric and Appliances in DeGraff. He was well known in the community for generously donating his time and talents to Riverside High School and numerous DeGraff community events. He prided himself in donating his time to people who needed help. He loved his Riverside Pirates and was passionate about helping the athletic department with anything they needed. As life slowed down, his time was spent making sure his three grandchildren had all the snacks and candy they wanted.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 12:00 p.m.
