Mary Lou Inskeep, 97, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at her residence.
She was born October 26, 1915, in Bellefontaine to the late Leslie and Leona (Buchenroth) Mohr.
On December 24, 1934, she married Herbert Polk Inskeep in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death November 20, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Inskeep and her siblings, Wilma Joy Warren and Richard Mohr.
Surviving is a son, Gerald E. Inskeep of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Todd (Tammy) Inskeep, Robin (Roger) Neer, Shelley Inskeep and Jana (Jim) Strzalka; ten great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A homemaker and nurses aid at Mary Rutan Hospital, Mary Lou was a member of the Stonycreek Church of the Brethren, the Farm Bureau Council and the Union Township Ladies Club. She enjoyed crafts and creating cardinals by needlepoint. Mary Lou was also well known for making candy, especially her taffy and divinity.
Gene Marine will officiate the 1:00 P.M. funeral service Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with visitation from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
