Mary Linebaugh

Mary E. Linebaugh, 77, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, went to be with Jesus Friday evening, February 24, 2012 at her daughter’s home. She was born in Alexandria County Illinois January 11, 1935, to the late Franklin and Velma Oldham Danner.

On August 26, 1955, she married William L. “Bill” Linebaugh in Harper, Ohio and he preceded her in death July 29, 2008. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Frank Danner, step-brothers Carl Angelbeck and Clarence Angelbeck; brothers-in-law Richard Fox and Carl Lucius; a step-sister, Margaret Fox, and a great-granddaughter Victoria Rodriguez.

Survivors include daughters, Barbara (Randy) Lovett of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Bonnie (Bill) Stevenson of Rushsylvania, and Becky (Doug Lyons) Napier of Rushsylvania; a son, David (Laurie) Linebaugh of Rushsylvania; special adopted kids Kim (Roger) Leugers of Belle Center, Ohio and Roberta (Randy) Maag of Ottawa, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marguerite Lucius of Tucson, Arizona, Frances Smith of Shelby, Ohio and Judy (Bob) Huston of Arkansas; sisters-in-law Patty Cooper of Marysville, Ohio and Jean Durflinger of Rushsylvania, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Rushsylvania High School in 1952, she worked at H.G. Short, United Telephone, Rockwell International Company and then worked many years as a switchboard operator at Mary Rutan Hospital before retiring in 2003. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, quilting, reading and playing cards. She was a member of the Harper United Methodist Church and the Rushsylvania Monday Night Prayer Group.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rushsylvania Cemetery with Pastor Lloyd Ferguson officiating. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 2, 2012, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
