Mary Mort

Mary Margaret Mort, 75, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born October 3, 1937 in Bellefontaine, to the late Kenneth and Alberta (Glaze) Prater. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas, Robert, Hugh, Carl “Corky” and William Prater and a sister, Dorothy Prater.

Surviving are her sons, Dennis Hines of Bellefontaine, Tim (Beverly) Hines of Urbana, Ohio, Joe Hines of DeGraff, Ohio and Kelly Hines of Bellefontaine; daughters, Lori (Paul Cordrey) Hines of Urbana, Julie (Pete) Hatfield of Anna, Ohio and Marlee Parker of West Liberty, Ohio; ten grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and numerous special friends.

Mary worked twenty six years at Bulldog/Siemens in Bellefontaine. She was a member of the AmVets, American Legion and the Eagles, all of Bellefontaine and enjoyed attending all of their events. She loved her flowers, gardening, puzzles and watching wildlife.

Pastor Ken VanHoose will officiate the 1:00 P.M. funeral service Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
